David was listed as one of four of John George's children who were naturalized with their father on Jan 15, 1739. This, according to a research by Miss Margaret Neal of the Maryland Genealogical Society in Baltimore, Dec 19, 1977.
The problem with the above is that much has been found about a Daniel son of Johann, but not David son of Johann. Did Miss Neal slip up, or is a genuine mix-up occurring here? All scources agree that Johann brought four only from the old country, not five. (The fifth, Freder- ick, was born over here).
Yes, Miss Neal DID slip up. She rechecked her source at my request and found, lo and behold, it IS Daniel, and she stands corrected.
End of temporary confusion. Now we have only the one David to keep track of, the later Revolutionary Patriot one. ________________________________________________________________
New info from Lester Binnie's research clears up most of the above. The cards have been modified accordingly, but the above confusion which must still be in circulation, is worth knowing.
