Johann Andreas Kachel was a soldier in the Wertheimer Company between theyears 1741-43 He was one of 6 Kachels to serve in this company.

The family arrived in Philadelphia Sept 12 1750 aboard the ship"Priscilla" from their native village of Dertingen, Baden Germany
