William Kindig
Dec. 21, 1937-Nov. 1, 2009 Rochester Sentinel
William "Bill" Kindig, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Nov. 1, after a long battle with cancer.
Bill was born Dec. 21, 1937, in Rochester to Floyd and Dorothy Dow Kindig. Bill graduated from Rochester High School in 1956. He then graduated from the University of Arizona and went on to Ojai, Calif. Bill retired from the Ojai school system after 46 years; he was the teacher of the year several times.
Bill loved to travel, watch Dodger games, work in the garden and visit with his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda; daughters Kerry Holden ‎(Jerry)‎ and Kristy Sussman ‎(Joe)‎; son Kyle; grandchildren Trent and Brittany Holden and Olivia and Charlie Sussman; brothers Alex, Oxnard, Calif., and Phillip ‎(Sandy)‎, Rochester; and sister Cindy McLochlin ‎(Rich)‎, Rochester.
Services were held Nov. 7 at Ojai Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph Reardon Funeral Home, Ventura, Calif.

KINDIG, Kerry Alice
A daughter, Kerry Alice, was born July 4, 1964 to Mr. & Mrs. William Kindig, Ojai, Cal. She weighed 7 lb 6 oz. The paternal grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Kindig, 1226 Pontiac street.
